i've been thinking about this outfit for at least a month. maybe more. i picked up this black sheath (if you can call it that) at a ridic old navy sale right before christmas. it was something like 70 percent off and i figured what the hell. of course i got it home and remembered i've almost completely given up sleeveless everything. and jumper type ensembles always border on grade school too young or school marm too old. even though i like both of those looks, it's hard to strike the right balance. i knew i wanted to layer my chambray shirt underneath but felt very non-committal on the accessories, which let's face it, are CRUCIAL. i've got to thank mom's style and intuition here as she picked out and purchased the weave stretch belt and grey snakeskin tights; both of which keep the look from being too boring and/or predictable. go mom.
outfit details: black sheath: old navy | chambray: old navy | weave belt: target, similar | snakeskin tights: tights (on sale! i have the polka dot too. shocker) | booties: pied juste for anthro, similar
