work outfit #5

it's way too cold outside, i'm starting to feel like crap and my creative juices are down to nil. so today's work outfit is monochromatic, warm and comfortable. my mom gave me these old navy black rock star jeans for christmas and i have to say that i'm feeling pretty much feeling like a total rock star in them. the description says they're a medium rise, but they feel pretty high-waisted to me. note: my 35-year old mama body is so relieved and grateful that the low rise trend is over. these jeans are also insanely soft and comfortable and have a few little worn patches that i'm sort of digging. even though i didn't create them through wear, tear or too many donuts. i picked up this blouse at target last year once it made it to the clearance rack and really enjoy the feminine aspect it brings to this otherwise rough and tough outfit. it says, hey i'm approachable and nice, let's chat. but wait, not too much. does your blouse talk to you too?

details: jeans: old navy | blouse: lela rose for target, similar | booties: pied juste for anthro, similar | socks: target | broach: vintage, similar
