that midweek, random
day off really beats all. we both got home a little early from work on
wednesday night and started the holiday off right by throwing atty in his pool and sharing a perfect IPA. dinner came
together without a lot of thought or fanfare but was gobbled up nonetheless --
roasted tofu, parmesan sauteed green beans and hot abc noodles stirred together
with three bits of leftover cheese. atty slept in on thursday morning (as
instructed!) and we grabbed some icy (caffeinated!) sbux drinks and headed to a new park before the heat really took hold. the
afternoon was spent with lovely family, who all lovingly prepared summer dishes
to share with the group. after atty went to bed, nelson i finally watched to rome with love and were delighted by the overlapping stories,
humorous observations, beautiful cinematography and romantic complications.
woody allen really beats all. even more than the midweek random day off.
