annoyances

i try to keep this blog happy and light and not drench you all in whines and complaints. after all, isn't that what your spouse is for?  well apologies, i can't spare you all today. there is some stuff that is ticking me off that i need to rant about. NOW.

1. our neighbor. this lady is a bartender and has frequent visitors, dance parties and turns her townhouse into a trance club on the regular. now i am all for a good time but we have a toddler, we work and we like to sleep. so clubbin' is really not appreciated at 4 a.m. on a tuesday morning. and i say the word morning very lightly here as to me 4 a.m. is NIGHT NIGHT time, as in i am fast asleep and super pissed that i am awoken even a minute before atty's 6:30 a.m. wake up call. this "morning" we had to sleep in the guest room and i was so angry i had dreams about telling off the neighbor. in the dream when i furiously knocked on her door in some terrible pajamas that i don't even own (why can't i have a dream where i look effortless and chic?) it looked like she was hosting a christmas cocktail party complete with appetizers. i'm pretty sure the only christmas aspect to her actual party is fake snow.

2. ants. we keep finding a random ant or three in the kitchen if we don't immediately wipe down the counter after making toast. this kills me as i want hot toast with drippy, melty pb and nutella but that means ants. its a tough decision every night at 10 p.m. let me tell you. nelzo picked up some natural, good for kids (?) bug spray that we've been using but it makes our kitchen smell something awful that you definitely don't want mixing with food smells.

3. this weather. wtf. 40 last week. 90 tomorrow. can't it just be spring?

4. i'm dumb and tired. i accidentally texted the new baby-sitter that i hated our neighbor and i was pooped.
