it's finally march and the high temperature predictions are above 40 for the foreseeable future.
perhaps the GD sun will come out a few days too before it gets to be 90 every day starting in april?
enough cynicism.
i'm going to embrace changes that will hopefully help me stay hopeful and focusing on renewal..
1. grow an herb garden
(image indoor herb garden success)
i talk about doing this every spring but i've never actually done it.
this how to guide seems fairly simple right?
now where can i find these chalk-coated planters?
2. try new forms of exercise.
i've already begun this one!
erin and i are taking a belly dance class in arlington that started last week.
so far we've had tons of laughs at the expense of my lack of coordination and white girlness.
truth be told, this is much harder than it looks and could give me some nice abs by summer.
3. read more.
i used to be such an avid reader but books have definitely taken a seat to atticus time and sleep.
any suggestions to add to whats currently in my amazon cart?
4. watch less bad television
this is a big one.
we don't watch very much television but after a full day we do tend to watch something mindless and terrible that i never wanted to watch that always infuriates me (read: the bachelor, the taste, half of a crap movie that i've somehow seen 15 times before)
we need to watch the criterion collection and afi's top 100
am i the only person who has never watched west wing?
this PBS documentary on women and maybe beyonce's documentary.
come on, i need something a little mindless.
5. be okay with setting fewer goals.
i used to make massive lists with ridiculous, unattainable goals and then never look at them again.
this time, i'm sticking with a reasonable amount and not feeling guilty about it.
what goals do you have for spring?
that pbs doc on women is pretty good. i had it on in the background the other night!
ReplyDeleteoh nice! i need some inspiration stat!
