farmer's market salad

coming back from vacation is always rough.
gone are notions of endless sleep, eating bagels at 11 a.m. while you read a mindless novel and taking a nap for no reason at all.
reality snaps back to kick our bums pretty quick.
you're expected to do things like be at work on time.
wear clothing without elastic waists.
it's even customary to have food in the fridge.
it's been a long week in that regard.
i have yet to make it to the grocery store.
but i did make it to the farmer's market and was able to make this lovely salad for lunch.
all delicious and fresh summer flavors.
the only thing that kind of ruined it for me was the bastard eating barbeque in the kitchenette at the same time i retrieved my salad that i so lovingly prepared at 8 a.m.
mmmm, barbeque.

  1. Yum! I missed out on the farmer's market cuz I was stupidly sick on Sunday. Would love to make something this good soon... (oh btw, why do you have to ignore the bbq? Just eat both!)

  2. But this is much much better than a grease bbq chicken sandwich :-)
