last week i received the sweetest little package from the lovely and ever talented madison.
madison pens the blog espresso and cream, which has quickly become one of my favorite daily reads.
i happened upon her blog a few weeks back when she had a cookie giveaway, in which i became the very lucky winner of a cookie of my choosing from her recipe box.
i'm not going to lie to you, it took me almost a week to decide on a particular cookie.
madison makes so many delicious looking treats it was very challenging for me to choose just one.
rice krispie treat pops were definitely a contender, as well as molasses crinkles, white chocolate dipped nutella bites and of course, monster cookies and countless others.
in the end, the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie truffles won my heart tummy over.
they sounded so intriguing, a healthy cake ball if you will.
madison even described the filling resembling a close similarity to a larabar.
this sold me on the spot, i love larabars -- the fact that they're made from real ingredients but also that they taste darn good. and madison made these truffles covered in deep, rich dark chocolate.
these more than lived up to the hype that i built in my head as i eagerly awaited my box of treats.
i've had a truffle every night since with an ice cold glass of milk, savoring each and every bite.
aren't cookies always so much better when someone makes them for you?
thank you again to madison, for such a delicious giveaway.
Oh I'm so so happy they arrived. Looks like there was a little heat damage, but I'm relieved they made it intact and delicious! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet shout-out!
