a weekly daybook

idea stolen from a beautiful journey . . . . .

outside my window

the sun is starting to peek through the clouds.

i am thinking . . .

of going back to walgreens for more russel stover milk chocolate marshmallow eggs.

i am thankful for . . .

my new cocktail ring via starry-eyed charlie

isn't it purty?

what i am learning. . .

that strength and courage can get you through anything.

i am creating. . .

memories. every day.

i am going . . .

to start volunteering, it's time to give something back.

i am hearing . . .

my husband sing buddy holly songs.

i am reading . . .

a memoir, called when all the world was young. it's a coming of age story in good old Washington, D.C. it's heartbreaking and sweet and still Holland's dark side makes laugh right out loud.

i am hoping . . .

and praying for the people of Japan, please make a donation to the Red Cross here.

around the house . . .

are various piles that i reshuffle, aimlessly filter through and pile again.
this happens about once a week.

one of my favorite things. . .

is coming home after a long day.

a few plans for the week . . .

making mini lemon cheesecakes, assisting on nelson's thesis, starting a volunteer project and seeing Alissa and Rory!

a picture . . .

three of my nieces a number of years ago.
this picture always makes me smile.
no matter what.

it's definitely time for ice cream

and a quote . . .

"do what you can, with what you have, where you are."
-Teddy Roosevelt
