this post is a bit late, apologies my dear readers.
no hating this week, back to the love.
new food love comes in waves and it's been a full month in my life.
1. v8 fruit fusion
i've finally converted, i am now officially a juice person. so far, the pomegranate blueberry is my favorite blend. it's beyond refreshing and thirst quenching. i have yet to try the mango, but if you keep reading this list, you can bet it will be next. bonus on these juices: no added sugar and each glass contains a serving of fruits and vegetables. win.
2. mango
oh my mango, where have you been all my life? various google searches describe the taste of a mango as a cross between a peach and a pineapple. clearly i had issues pinpointing the mango's unique tastiness, all i know is i love them. i ate 4 last week.
3. banh mi
a vietnamese masterpiece. a delicate balance of perfectly seasoned meet and slightly pickled vegetables fills the best baguette outside of france, which makes sense since vietnam was colonized by the french (just a little history lesson for you). try it with extra srirachi if you dare....
p.s. these are like $3 for a huge sandwich.
4. peppermint extract
since the birth of the thin mints, the peppermint extract has livened up many a breakfast treats. i even mixed a dash into my peanut butter this morning...so crazy.
5. crunchy peanut butter
i've mostly been a smooth peanut butter gal since birth. for some reason i threw caution to the wind during my weekly tjs trip and purchased crunchy peanut butter. it's heavenly. the little bits of peanut that just won't spread have helped break my breakfast rut. this is just sad.
6. tjs pumpkin souffles
after my crunchy peanut butter purchase i was feeling quite bold by the time i made it to the frozen dessert section. i usually avoid this section for two reasons: 1. it's expensive and 2. the plethora of delicious sweets are mostly very unhealthy and tempting. how psyched was i to find these pumpkin souffles at $1.99 for a 4-pack and only 110 calories each? um, way too psyched.
7. mango boba smoothie
nelzo brought home this beauty with the bah minhs last week. since i'm on quite the mango kick (see above) this smoothie was right up my alley. the bonus was the boba balls at the bottom. boba balls are tapioca balls that are basically gummy candy in your smoothie. and yes, the straw has a wide diameter so you can suck the tapioca balls right up!
what new foods are you loving this week?

I had a mango this morning...I took a break after a 3 month obsession with them! I eat them with cinnamon:)
