1. ryann jannelle

the latest addition to the family.

my teeny, sweet niece was born on my parents 25th anniversary.

i can already tell she is beyond perfect.

disclaimer: the rest of these are clearly totally awesome, but nothing compares to the lovely ms. ryann.

2. permanent corsage

fossil find. i love pins, especially of the flower variety, to boot, this is leather and has looked cute with every outfit i have fashioned it to so far. that's a lot of outfits.

 3. peonies

these beauties just appeared in front of our apartment one early may morning. my mom still gets a pile of the hot pink ones, with a few white scattered in for good measure. they make me smile remembering when i brought one to my teacher each year in may.

 4. peeps.

 i know you're all as relieved as i am that i finally made it to the peeps store at national harbor. in all honesty it was pretty fantastic. besides the plethora of peeps, there were plenty of peeps insignia items ( am still coveting  a dc peeps tee, bday hint ) as well as peeps art (as seen above), that i will likely have to try and create on my own during the next blizzard.

5. potholder.

  made specifically by one aubrey (my second eldest niece) specifically for little old me. that girl is one smart cookie, we actually have zero potholders and have been fumbling with dish towels to remove hot items from the oven, but this beauty works better than any potholder i've ever seen. it's obviously v. cute and superbly made as well. aubrey's a crafty one.
