we were watching an episode of girls a couple of months ago when jenna lyons and her glasses came on screen in an outstanding cameo role. of course nelson schooled me when i gushed about her glasses with a "thats jenna lyons, she runs j crew." the sigh was audible.
after the episode i read a few articles on ms lyons, who i can now properly thank for this outfit. she really pushed the whole you-don't-and-shouldn't-match-but-embrace-mixing-patterns-bit that has become part of my weekly routine. oh and her glasses may have weighed in on my decision. maybe.
