growing up, my grandparents always had a full candy dish in their living room. every time we went to their house it was like halloween as i combed through the foil-covered wrappers in search of the BEST piece of candy. after way too much deliberation, i would select the piece i wanted (almost always chocolate-based) and unwrap it with glee while my grandfather showed me his latest model train purchase.
fast forward to present day and i'm still such a sucker (pun intended!) for the candy dish.
i left an appointment this morning and was confronted with the candy dish in the waiting room. i began the usual deliberation (see above).
but this time, no one was looking. so i carefully selected six pieces all to myself.
and i had not even had breakfast yet. shhhh, don't tell your kids!
