a random list.

1. i ate mexican twice yesterday.
once was in this form:
2. both meals were equally delicious and disgusting
3. i followed a woman two blocks this morning because her cigarette smelled so good.
4. i love t-shirt sheets, but they make me late every morning
5. all of my tights have holes in the toes
6. i sort of want to have a mexican-based thanksgiving. avocado and turkey is always a winning combination.
7. i look an the anthro website on a daily basis, currently obsessed with every aspect of this look:

8. i've can't stop listening to harry nilsson since watching who is harry nilsson? (and why is everybody talking about him?) on sunday. did he really blow his voice because he and  john lennon were too effed up all the time? their version of many rivers to cross is better than the original jimmy cliff. i said it.

9. rob gordon was right, many rivers to cross is the quintessential funeral song. but i think i'd go for the nilsson version.
10.  instagram might be better than hipstomatic
10. i still love family guy, but sometimes being shocking just to be shocking is just boring
11. the annoying subway commercial makes their new flatbread melts look pretty good, but i hate subway. i will not be manipulated by these don draper wannabes.
12. debra winger's performance on in treatment is breathtakingly gorgeous. how can she can control the corners of her mouth, her eyelashes and twitch of her nose and i still run into everything?
13. i need a vacation. i want to go somewhere hot and lay in the sun (with spf 45 on of course) and drink frozen fruity drinks. oh also it would be nice if i could lose 10 strategic pounds by then so i could wear a bikini for once in my life.
14. i saw this girl wearing pumpkin orange rain boots last week. i want them. they're only available in a size 5, i.e. midget feet. probably better off since i don't need bright orange rubber boots, especially after the frye boots purchase.

but the blue might be cute enough?
 15. i got my hair cut a week ago and it already looks like i didn't get a haircut because i still don't know how to use a round brush. or how to apply product.
16. i dropped a slice of a banana on my pants this morning and after furious scrubbing i can still see the outline of the slice. sigh.
17. paul bakery is coming to dc and i am beyond excited. i think i went there three times in as many days when we went to miami last year. thanks angela!
18. when i find a song i like, i like to listen to it on repeat for hours and hours and hours and hours.
19. i like making lists. usually they are more of the 'to do' list nature. and will include stuff i've already done just so i can cross things off. like showering, eating lunch and checking email.
20. if you've read this far, thanks for reading my random thoughts, hopefully my brain will be a bit more focused soon. i blame all the mexican food.

  3. Eek - I'm gonna have to disagree about 'Many Rivers to Cross' - the original is way better. And speaking of Rob Gordon, I think Aretha Franklin's 'Angel' is the better pick of the two as far as funeral songs go. There - I said it.

    The real life Rob Gordon

  5. oh guac with peas and cannellini beans sounds delicious. reminds me of giada's pea puree that she spreads on crostini. might have to add that to the thanksgiving spread.
